Hey there Internet. I’m Jon and I’ve been drumming since I was nine years old and my parents got me a putty pad and lessons with master drummer George P. Carroll. After 20 minutes of playing I thought I had figured out how to do a long roll. It took me another 6 months to actually get that down but I was hooked from the start. Since then I’ve never stopped playing. Eventually, I made my way out to perennially sunny Los Angeles to study drums at Musicians Institute. Gary Hess and a whole cadre of instructors there kicked my ass till I could play like a real drummer.
